We’re excited to have now completed a move into new, purpose-built offices at our Stoneferry site in east Hull.
The development is part of a £20m group-wide expansion plan which will see our MKM brand build on the 37-strong UK branch network in Yorkshire, Scotland, the North West, the Midlands and the South of England, creating up to 200 jobs in the process.
David Kilburn, our MKM Chief Executive, said the new building marked a milestone in the company’s 17 year history.
“As MKM has grown over recent years we found ourselves increasingly short of space and were faced with the decision to either move site, which would have been logistically very difficult, or design and build a place bespoke to our needs.
“We opted to stay on Stoneferry, where the business was founded, and create a brand new office that way we knew we would end up with precisely what we wanted.
“I’m extremely pleased with the result. A lot of thought went into it from our side and from The Hall Group and Chameleon who fitted it out – it is very modern and is designed to help facilitate efficient working practices.
Whilst the move did take a couple of weeks it was completed and business running as usual from the beginning of January; complete with modern glass walling, open plan areas and convenient hot desking stations.
Hull-based Chameleon finished the fit out in December after Hall construction had completed the building in November.
