MKM Building Supplies have once again teamed up with The Hartlepool Mail to help collect items for the annual Give A Little Gift appeal.
The appeal asks for a little help for Santa, so those who would go without a gift this festive season have something to open on Christmas Day.
The branch on Burn Road has been the collection point for the last couple of years, and staff at the branch are hoping they can top last year’s donations.
Gifts for all ages are welcome, from small cuddly toys and selection boxes to perfumes and larger donations – but they don’t have to break the bank. Once collected, they will be distributed to organisations and charities around Hartlepool who will make sure they go to those who need them.
Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail, branch director Mick Sumpter said, “It’s just great to be part of the appeal, knowing that we are helping people. We really like speaking to the people coming in to take the gifts, whether it is to a refuge centre or wherever in the town.”
“So many of these charities and organisations are stuggling to survive, which means they have no money left over for gifts. They desperately need our support, without it many children would receive nothing on Christmas morning.”
Gifts can be dropped off to MKM Building Supplies within the branch opening times, 7:30am to 5:30pm weekdays, or from 7:30am til noon Saturdays. Please provide your donation unwrapped.
Keep up to date with how the collection is going by following the MKM Building Supplies Hartlepool Facebook page.
