On Tuesday evening MKM, in partnership with Hull City, gave Louise Griffiths, a lifelong local fan, a surprise 50th birthday experience – the chance to be a mascot at the Hull City v Blackburn match at the KCOM Stadium.
The Tigers were led onto the field by Louise who was given a personalised kit, a stadium tour, and the Executive Box for the evening to celebrate with her friends. She was also presented with a bottle of Champagne by MKM Chairman and Founder David Kilburn prior to kick off.
Additionally, on the 50th minute of the game, a message appeared on the big screen wishing Louise a Happy Birthday.
The experience was secretly organised by Louise’s friend Ang, to celebrate her milestone birthday, something that has been on Louise’s bucket list for a very long time!
“I had the best night ever, it was amazing.” said Louise after the match.
“I was truly speechless when I found out. The players were all lovely, the tour was great and the result didn’t spoil what was the best surprise ever.”
*Happy Birthday Louise!*
Unfortunately Hull City lost the match, which was televised on Sky Sports, 1-0 to Blackburn.
MKM and Hull City have been in partnership for a number of years – any regular visitors to the KCOM Stadium may have seen our branding around the pitch and stadium, and we hope to continue delivering these magical experiences to fans around Hull and the rest of the country as some of our branches partner with other football clubs!
