MKM Building Supplies win 3 awards at the Builders Merchant Awards For Excellence 2018

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re winners of three awards at the Builders’ Merchant Awards for Excellence 2018, including Independent Builders’ Merchant of the Year (21+ branches), beating off competition from finalists Ridgeons Ltd & Bradfords Building Supplies.
MKM Perth won Timber Merchant of the Year and MKM Leamington Spa scooped the title of Hard Landscaping Display of the Year, at the awards ceremony hosted by Sir Lenny Henry, which took place at the London Hilton Hotel on Friday. We’re also proud of Jo Thomas from MKM Hull, who was a finalist in the Women in Merchanting Award and Barry Stuart, from MKM Perth who was a finalist in the Achiever of the Year Award for their outstanding contributions this year.

Timber Merchant of the Year:
MKM Perth

MKM Perth won the Timber Merchant of the Year Award for its impressive timber offering, opening a purpose-built specialist timber showroom, and adapting their range to suit customer trends. Branch Director Alan Patterson said: “To win or even just be nominated for a Builders’ Merchants Award for Excellence is fantastic for the branch and team. The team are buzzing and we will be sure to let the whole city know how great we are – that’s just the ones that don’t already!

Hard Landscaping Display of the Year:
Leamington Spa

MKM Leamington Spa won the award for their stunning landscaping display, transformed from a nondescript strip of land into an immersive experience offering customers the opportunity to explore what is possible with their garden. Branch Directors Dave & Paul Warren said: “We’re delighted to have won the award and to be recognised for our landscaping display. We’d also like to give our landscape designer Neil a huge thank you for the outstanding effort put into designing and creating the display. The whole team is extremely proud of what we have achieved and look forward utilising it in the coming months”
