Alnwick: Plumbing, Heating & Bathroom Salesperson

In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of plumbing, heating and bathroom products.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing quotations for customers
- Purchasing materials and managing stock levels for the category
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
- Guide customers through the full bathroom design and sales process
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
- Taking a proactive approach to plumbing and heating sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale

Qualifications and Skills
- Sound plumbing and heating product knowledge needed
- Previous sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment or a builders merchant environment is essential
- Bathroom design experience would be advantageous for this role, however, training can be arranged should it be required
- Confident dealing with customers
- The ability to build great customer relationships
- A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Computer literate

In addition to dealing with customers that come into the branch and approach you, you should also be committed to taking a proactive approach to sales and using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

Anlaby: HGV Driver

In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service.

The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles, therefore, a Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training is essential. HIAB certification and experience would be advantageous.

As a driver you are the face of MKM to many of our customers and as such you should be of smart appearance and have a positive, friendly and helpful manner. You should also be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a positive attitude.

Anlaby: Kitchen & Bathroom Sales Designer

Our Anlaby branch are looking for someone to drive the kitchen and bathrooms part of the business forward. We are looking for someone who has experience in both kitchen and bathroom sales design.

Choosing a new kitchen and bathroom is a big decision for our customers, therefore you will need to get to know them, listen to their needs and work with them every step of the way to ensure their requirements are met. You will identify and recommend the products that best suit their needs, paying close attention to detail and ensuring customer satisfaction every time.

In addition to visitors to our showroom you will need to possess the drive and confidence to pro-actively generate new business. Previous experience in a similar role is required, however additional training will be offered.

Experience of ‘20-20 Fusion’ planning software, or similar, and the ability to demonstrate sound product knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products would be desirable but not essential and a driving licence is preferred. The branch is looking for a candidate who possess a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Chelmsford: Business Development Manager

In this position, you will play an instrumental role in the growth and development of the branch, we are therefore looking for a talented, experienced and dedicated candidate to help drive the business forward.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Working as part of the external sales team, the main aim of this role will be to identify new business opportunities, promoting MKM as their supplier of choice and converting this into regular business
- In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers and ensuring they continue to receive great customer service
- You will predominantly work in and around the Chelmsford area and will be required to take a pro-active approach to visiting existing and potential customers, building lasting relationships and exceeding their expectations
- In all dealings with customers you will be expected to use every opportunity to maximise sales and margin

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience of working in a similar position within the industry is essential for this role.
- We would also expect the successful candidate to have excellent product knowledge of a good range of building, plumbing, roofing and timber products.
- You must be an excellent negotiator, organised, confident and enthusiastic.

Chelmsford: Van Driver/Relief HGV Driver

Responsibilities and Duties
- In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, whilst using a transit van or pick up truck, providing top quality customer service
- The role will also involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles and operating the HIAB grab attachment as and when required
- Assisting customers as required
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

Qualifications and Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training required
- HIAB certification and experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of the building industry and building products is desirable
- Candidates must feel comfortable working within a challenging fast paced environment

Class 2 and Hiab training will be provided for the right candidate, if required.

This is a great opportunity for a pro-active individual to take ownership of the sales and development of our plumbing and heating (lightside) ranges. You will be encouraged and given the freedom to develop your own ideas that support the branch goals, effectively running a ‘business within a business’.

Your overall aim will be to establish and grow our customer base, maximise plumbing and heating sales and profit and make MKM Crewe the place of choice for all plumbing and heating supplies.
