Aberdeen: Kitchen & Bathroom Sales Designer

Our Aberdeen branch are looking for someone to drive the kitchen and bathrooms part of the business forward. We are looking for someone who has experience in both kitchen and bathroom sales design.

Choosing a new kitchen and bathroom is a big decision for our customers, therefore you will need to get to know them, listen to their needs and work with them every step of the way to ensure their requirements are met. You will identify and recommend the products that best suit their needs, paying close attention to detail and ensuring customer satisfaction every time.

In addition to visitors to our showroom you will need to possess the drive and confidence to pro-actively generate new business. Previous experience in a similar role is required, however additional training will be offered.

Experience of ‘20-20 Fusion’ planning software, or similar, and the ability to demonstrate sound product knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products would be desirable but not essential and a driving licence is preferred. The branch is looking for a candidate who possess a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Aberdeen: Internal Salesperson

MKM prides itself on the excellent customer service that we offer to our customers. Our sales staff therefore play a vital role in the success of the branch. We are hence looking for a dynamic, confident and experienced salesperson to help us drive the business forward. In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building supplies.

Duties will include providing and following up quotations for customers on our full product range as well as purchasing materials and managing stock levels across all product categories.

The successful candidate will need to be able to liaise and build relationships effectively with customers both face to face and over the telephone, ensuring they are providing excellent customer service at all times as well as sound product advice. In addition to dealing with customers that come into the branch and approach you, you should also be committed to taking a proactive approach to building supplies sales and use every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

Sound building supplies product knowledge is essential for this role and the successful candidate should also have previous sales experience from a builder’s merchant environment.

We are looking for someone who is confident and outgoing, with the ability to build and develop great customer relationships. A good telephone manner is vital and computer literacy is a must.

Aberdeen: Plumbing & Heating Salesperson

In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of plumbing and heating products.

Your overall aim will be to establish and grow our customer base, maximise sales and profit and make MKM Aberdeen the place of choice for all lightside supplies.

Duties will include:
-Establish and grow the customer base
-Maximise sales and profit
-Provide quotations for customers
-Purchase materials
-Manage stock levels

In addition to dealing with customers that come into the branch and approach you, you should also be committed to taking a proactive approach to sales and using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

Sound plumbing and heating product knowledge is essential for this role. The successful candidate should also have previous sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment.

Aberdeen: Yard Foreman

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing a warehouse/yard in a fast-paced environment and experience of effectively running a successful function. The individual will be responsible for the yard/warehouse operation and for providing excellent standards of service, efficiency and performance.

Duties will include:
-Responsibility for the day to day operations of the yard/warehouse department
-Efficiently managing a team of yard/warehouse staff, ensuring orders are correct and on time, providing top quality customer service
-Responsibility for all goods in/out
-Ensuring company compliance of all warehouse/yard policies, legislations and procedures as well as taking responsibility for health and safety issues of the warehouse/yard
-Managing, monitoring and developing a team of warehouse/yard staff
-Involvement in strategic development and improvements
-Ensuring housekeeping is well maintained including excellent external presentation of our branch
-Maintain accurate administrative records.

The successful candidate should have excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a candidate with strong people management skills who is keen to manage and develop the team whilst operating an efficient and effective yard/warehouse.

You should have previous foreman/management experience in a similar role and experience within the merchant industry would be preferable. Knowledge of the products/industry would also be an advantage, as would a full driving licence and fork lift truck licence.

Burton: Senior Salesperson

Working within the sales team, the main purpose of your role will be to maximise sales and margin by building first class relationships with customers both over the telephone and face to face, whilst maintaining excellent customer service. You will also be required to provide quotations to customers, follow them up and to pro-actively develop sales. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, have a good knowledge of a variety of building products and have experience of working in a similar position within a builders merchants.

You will be working within a close knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis. You will therefore need to have the likeability factor and be the person that our customers will look forward to seeing knowing that they will always receive excellent customer service and sound advice. You should also be enthusiastic, hard working and have a positive attitude.

In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service.

The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles, there a Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training is essential. HIAB certification and experience would be a distinct advantage for this role.

As a driver you are the face of MKM to many of our customers and as such you should be of smart appearance and have a positive, friendly and helpful manner. You should also be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a positive attitude.

Chester: HGV/Van Driver

Responsibilities and Duties
In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service. The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles.

Qualifications and Skills
- HIAB certification and experience would be desirable for this role

- For this position, knowledge of the building industry and building products would be a distinct advantage

Crewe: Plumbing and Heating Manager

Hexham: Kitchen Sales Apprentice

You will join MKM as an Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer and we will support you through your training to gain your Apprenticeship. For this role, the successful candidate will undergo a Trade Business Services Apprenticeship, but will specialise in the Kitchen and Bathroom Sales side of the business.

Choosing a new kitchen is a big decision for our customers, therefore you will need to get to know them, listen to their needs and work with them every step of the way to ensure their requirements are met. You will be dealing with customers coming into the branch, ensuring they get the best service and advice with regards to kitchen and bathrooms ensuring you identify and recommend the products that best suit their needs, paying close attention to detail and ensuring customer satisfaction every time. In addition, you will also learn how to design kitchen and bathrooms using CAD software.

You will also spend time working in other areas within the branch to ensure you gain a full understanding of the business, therefore you will need to have a flexible approach to your duties.

We have been recruiting apprentices for over 8 years and several our top performing trainees have now taken up senior roles within the business. Telford: Assistant Branch Manager

At our Telford branch, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Branch Manager.

Duties will include:
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
- Taking a proactive approach to building material sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale

You will be working within a close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis. You will therefore need to have the likeability factor and be the person that our customers will look forward to seeing knowing that they will always receive excellent customer service and sound advice.

We are also looking for someone that has:
- Sound building supplies product knowledge needed
- Previous sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is essential
- Confident dealing with customers
- The ability to build great customer relationships
- A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate

Telford: Senior Salesperson

Working within the sales team, the main purpose of your role will be to maximise sales and margin by building first class relationships with customers both over the telephone and face to face, whilst maintaining excellent customer service. You will also be required to provide quotations to customers, follow them up and to pro-actively develop sales. You will need a good knowledge of a variety of building products and have experience of working in a similar position within a builders merchants.

You will be working within a close knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis. You will therefore need to have the likeability factor and be the person that our customers will look forward to seeing knowing that they will always receive excellent customer service and sound advice. You should also be enthusiastic, hard working and have a positive attitude.

York: Plumbing & Heating Sales Supervisor

In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of plumbing and heating products.

Duties will include providing quotations for customers, purchasing materials and managing stock levels. In addition to dealing with customers that come into the branch and approach you, you should also be committed to taking a proactive approach to plumbing and heating sales and use every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

Sound plumbing and heating product knowledge is essential for this role. The successful candidate should also have previous sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment.

In addition, we are looking for someone who is confident, outgoing, has the ability to build and develop great customer relationships, a good telephone manner and must be computer literate.

Yeovil: HGV Driver

In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service. The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles. In addition to your driving duties we would expect you to be flexible and assist with yard/warehouse duties should the need arise.

Qualifications and Skills
- HIAB certification and experience would be desirable for this role
- Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training required
- For this position, knowledge of the building industry and building products would be a distinct advantage

Yeovil: Kitchen & Bathroom Sales Designer

Our Yeovil branch are looking for someone to drive the kitchen and bathrooms part of the business forward. We are looking for someone who has experience in both kitchen and bathroom sales design.

Choosing a new kitchen and bathroom is a big decision for our customers, therefore you will need to get to know them, listen to their needs and work with them every step of the way to ensure their requirements are met. You will identify and recommend the products that best suit their needs, paying close attention to detail and ensuring customer satisfaction every time.

In addition to visitors to our showroom you will need to possess the drive and confidence to pro-actively generate new business. Previous experience in a similar role is required, however additional training will be offered.

Experience of ‘20-20 Fusion’ planning software, or similar, and the ability to demonstrate sound product knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products would be desirable but not essential. The branch is looking for a candidate who possess a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Yeovil: Plumbing & Heating Manager

This is a great opportunity for a pro-active individual to take ownership of the sales and development of our plumbing and heating (lightside) ranges. In this role you will work as part of our external team of staff. Duties will include assisting customers, providing excellent customer service, loading and unloading vehicles, picking and checking orders, storing stock safely and maintaining a tidy, safe working environment.

You will be working within a small close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis so we are looking for someone that has the likeability factor, someone that our customers will look forward to seeing knowing that they will always receive excellent customer service. You will also be required to be hard working, have a positive attitude and pay attention to detail.

Yeovil: Trade Counter Salesperson

Qualifications and Skills
- A Counterbalance Forklift license would be advantageous for this role
- Building material/ builders merchant industry knowledge would be desirable
- Possessing a Class 2 driving license is essential
- HIAB Certification would be advantageous
