Product Manager
As Product Manager for a highly successful independent Builders Merchant you will be in a key role providing support to our 37 strong branch network. With responsibility for either timber products or bathrooms, kitchens and plumbing & heating products, dependent upon your role, you will negotiate the best possible terms with suppliers and provide our branches with supplier and product support, helping to increase profitability.
Key tasks will include managing supplier accounts and negotiating terms, selecting new suppliers, launching new products including the development and organisation of these promotions, reviewing product ranges and re-sourcing products from new suppliers to improve margins and service levels.
You will also implement the agreed product strategy and will conduct performance gap analyses across the branch network and work closely with branches to grow product opportunities.
To be successful you should have experience in a similar role or that of a branch manager, with excellent product knowledge and attention to detail. You should be able to forge relationships with suppliers and branches with ease, possess strong organisational and negotiation skills, and be confident and pro active.
