Our MKM Ripon branch has helped to create a sensory garden for two-year-old Chloe Dudley who has a rare genetic condition, 1p36 deletion syndrome. This condition has resulted in her not being able to speak or walk. She often suffers from breathing problems which has led to her developing pneumonia three times last year.
MKM Ripon donated paving and fencing to provide Chloe with an area that she can use throughout the year, which is sheltered and contains a safe pathway. The sensory garden features mirrors, lights, wind chimes, windmills and a water feature which will hopefully improve her sensory development.
Meanwhile, our MKM Kings Lynn branch has donated materials to rebuild the Castle Rising Cricket Club's wall in front of their pavilion after it became unstable and in need of replacing. The club’s funds were limited, so the materials that our Kings Lynn branch donated meant that the club could remain in its current location.
